Immerse yourself in a journey through Alaska’s most beautiful National Forests, mountains, rivers and coastlines. Traveling by boat, glass-domed railcar, and luxury motor coach you will have optimal chances of viewing Alaska’s finest and most spectacular wildlife. And, with a unique trip down the nationally recognized Seward Scenic Byway and an overnight excursion into Denali National Park, this tour is sure to be a hit!
Day 1: Anchorage After you take the scheduled transfer from your cruise line from Whittier to Anchorage, we will transfer you from downtown Anchorage to your hotel. Explore Alaska’s largest city or just relax. Overnight Anchorage.

Day 2: Anchorage - Seward - Anchorage Travel the Seward Highway, a National Forest Scenic Byway that has been voted one of the Top Ten Most Scenic Drives in America by Condé Nast Traveler magazine. On your amazing Kenai Fjords Cruise, you’ll cruise along the rugged Kenai Peninsula coastline, watching for playful porpoises, sea otters, whales and dozens of sea bird species while being surrounded by the rugged splendor of Kenai Fjords National Park. Upon return to port, we’ll take you to the train depot to travel the Alaska Railroad. Overnight Anchorage. (L)
Day 3: Anchorage - Denali Journey between the mountains of the spectacular Alaska and Talkeetna ranges on an incomparable sightseeing experience aboard the McKinley Explorer railcars. Participate in free park activities or the optional tours and activities we offer—white-water rafting, flightseeing or self drive Jeep tours. Overnight Denali.
Day 4: Denali - Fairbanks This morning venture into Denali National Park on the Natural History Tour in search of Denali’s Big Four: moose, caribou, bear and Dall sheep—and possibly catch sight of Mt. McKinley’s snowcapped majesty. Later, reboard the spacious McKinley Explorer and relax on your way to Fairbanks. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 5: Fairbanks Tour Alaska’s “Golden Heart City” and make a stop at the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Next, you’re off to the fully restored Gold Dredge No. 8 where you can pan for gold and enjoy a hearty miner’s lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy an adventure on the Chena and Tanana rivers aboard an authentic sternwheeler cruise. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about native culture, see a bush pilot demonstration, visit a dog musher’s camp and relax aboard the type of riverboat that plied Alaskan waters during the 1890s. Day 6: Fairbanks Your tour ends with a transfer from your hotel to the airport.
