Traveling the Alaska Railroad route aboard our luxury railcars provides breathtaking scenery and impeccable service. With 2 overnights in Denali, you’ll be able to experience Alaska's most celebrated optional tours like the Tundra Wilderness Tour, heli-hiking and flightseeing around Mt. McKinley.
Roundtrip Fairbanks: Fairbanks/ Denali/ Denali/ Fairbanks Day 1: Fairbanks We'll pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your Fairbanks hotel. Explore the Golden Heart City by experiencing an optional excursion like Chena Hot Springs or the Alaska Salmon Bake and Palace Theatre. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 2: Fairbanks – Denali Pass by the University of Alaska and the gold mining town of Ester before crossing the Mears Memorial Bridge to the town of Nenana, site of the famed Nenana Ice Classic. Also on the route are coal fields, and the beautiful Nenana River Canyon. By afternoon, arrive at Denali National Park where you’ll transfer to your comfortable accommodations. Here, you can choose from a wide range of optional activities like river rafting, helicopter flightseeing, or a jet boat safari. For the perfect end to your day, check out the optional Cabin Nite Dinner Theater, complete with delicious BBQ dinner and entertaining show. Overnight Denali.
Day 3: Denali This morning, venture into Denali National Park on a Natural History Tour or the popular Tundra Wilderness Tour, your best chance to see wildlife in Alaska. Or, experience Denali on an optional river rafting, self-drive Jeep tour excursion or ATV treasure hunt. Overnight Denali.
Day 4: Denali – Fairbanks Enjoy a morning at leisure and journey into Denali National Park on an optional Denali Natural History Tour or choose from a selection of optional excursions like river rafting or flightseeing excursions. Later in the day, re-board the train and travel deeper into Alaska’s exquisite interior. When you arrive in Fairbanks, transfer to your hotel. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 5: Fairbanks Transfer to the airport where your vacation in Alaska is complete.
