Experience a memorable train journey into Alaska’s spectacular mountains and the best chance for viewing wildlife.
Day 1: Anchorage We’ll greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 2: Anchorage – Denali See more of the Great Land aboard the luxurious McKinley Explorer. Overnight Denali.
Day 3: Denali National Park Venture into Denali National Park on the Natural History Tour in search of moose, caribou, bear and Dall sheep—and perhaps catch sight of Mt. McKinley’s snowcapped majesty. Participate in complimentary park activities or optional excursions. Overnight Denali.
Day 4: Denali – Fairbanks Take time this morning to indulge yourself in more of Denali’s wild charm, then board the McKinley Explorer to travel deeper into Alaska’s interior. Transfer to your Fairbanks hotel upon arrival. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 5: Fairbanks Relive the gold rush at its height in Fairbanks. Visit the fully restored Gold Dredge No. 8 to learn how it worked, pan for gold and enjoy a hearty miner’s lunch. The afternoon is free for optional activities. Overnight Fairbanks. (L)
Day 6: Fairbanks - Anchorage Transfer to the airport for your flight to Anchorage, where your tour ends.
