| 2008 Arctic Tour - On Top of the World: Barrow, 2 Day Roundtrip Fairbanks
|
Take flight for "the top of the world." Barrow is the northernmost point on the continent, 330 miles north of the Arctic Circle, and Alaska's largest Eskimo village. The rhythms of life are still dictated by the natural environment and animal behavior. Local residents enjoy sharing their stories and culture, and you’ll tour the Inupiat Heritage Center to experience local music, native dances, and the traditional blanket toss. Examine the tundra, search for bird species, see Arctic Ocean ice, and walk on a beautiful beach as far north as you may ever travel. Extra-brave guests can join the world’s most prestigious Polar Bear Club with a swim in the Arctic Ocean.
