Day 2: Anchorage – Talkeetna

You’ll transfer to the rail depot this morning. Enjoy breakfast aboard the luxurious McKinley Explorer railcars with your group in our comfortable dining area. On your journey watch the scenery unfold before you. Talkeetna is an eclectic town at the junction of three rivers, where nature trails and optional activities abound. You’ll stay at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, featuring quite possibly the most awesome view of Mt. McKinley in the state. Once there, you’ll have time for optional activities such as flightseeing and river tours. Overnight Talkeetna. (B)

Day 3: Talkeetna – Denali

You’ll already be swapping stories with your new friends over breakfast this morning. Then get a different perspective along the base of the spectacular Alaska Range as you re-board the McKinley Explorer to Denali National Park. Tonight you’ll be regaled with a sumptuous dinner and homespun entertainment at Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre. Overnight Denali. (B, D)

Day 4: Denali

Enjoy breakfast with your group before you venture into Denali National Park on the famed Tundra Wilderness Tour. Watch for big game and other Alaskan wildlife. Weather permitting; Mt. You will also have time to participate in some of the park’s complimentary activities, or select from thrilling options such as a jet boat ride or helicopter flightseeing. Overnight Denali. (B, S)

Day 5: Denali – Alyeska

This morning we’ll take you south by deluxe motor coach to Portage Lake for an unforgettable cruise aboard the mv Ptarmigan to within 300 yards of Portage Glacier. Along the way, enjoy lunch with your traveling companions. At the end of your day, rest easy at Hotel Alyeska, which boasts a four-diamond rating. While relaxing in this oasis of tranquility, enjoy optional tours, including a tram ride up Mt. Alyeska. Overnight Alyeska. (B, L)

Day 6: Alyeska – Seward

After breakfast, travel by motor coach to Seward for an adventure cruise along the dramatic Kenai Peninsula coastline, broken by misty glacier-carved fjords.
