Day 1: Anchorage We’ll transfer you to your hotel. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 2: Anchorage – Portage Glacier - Anchorage Venture south along the Turnagain arm to Portage Glacier. Board the mv Ptarmigan and cruise to the face of an ice age relic! After the tour, journey back to Anchorage. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 3: Anchorage – Denali Travel deep into the spectacular mountains of the Alaska Range aboard luxury glass-domed railcar to Denali National Park. Purchase an optional tour from the tour desk like river rafting, an ATV adventure or Cabin Nite Dinner Theater. Overnight Denali.
Day 4: Denali – Fairbanks Journey into Denali National Park and Preserve on a Tundra Wilderness Tour. Sit back and let your experienced naturalist guide educated you on the history of the park and its inhabitants like moose, caribou, bear and Dall sheep. The afternoon is reserved for an enchantingly scenic ride aboard the train. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 5: Fairbanks – Tok Kick off your day with a visit to the Nenana river on the classic Riverboat, afterwards enjoy a delicious miner’s lunch. Finish with a fascinating motor coach journey on the famed Alaska Highway to the town of Tok. Overnight Tok. (L)
Day 6: Tok – Dawson City Listen as your motor coach driver regales you with tales of the Gold rush era as you make your way to the site where gold was first found - Dawson City. Enjoy a fully narrated, round-trip riverboat excursion this afternoon aboard the nostalgic Klondike Spirit paddle-wheeler. Overnight Dawson. (L,D)
Day 7: Dawson City Today is free for optional tours. Explore on your own or choose optional tours including a self-drive Jeep tour, river rafting, city tour or a motor coach journey to Tombstone Territorial Park where you can take a guided hike or naturalist excursion. Overnight Dawson City.
Day 8: Dawson City – Whitehorse Travel along the beautiful Klondike Highway. After lunch in Minto, you’ll arrive in Whitehorse, capital city of the Yukon Territory. Enjoy an evening at leisure or purchase a ticket to the hilarious Frantic Follies Revue. Overnight Whitehorse. (L)
Day 9: Whitehorse – Skagway Experience the summit of White Pass and watch for remnants of the Stampede Trail along the way down to sea level. Explore this unique town and visit the Red Onion Saloon, the original home of Soapy Smith or the historic White Pass & Yukon Railroad Route depot. Overnight Skagway.
Day 10: Skagway – Juneau Explore picturesque Skagway this morning. Take a last look at the spectacular natural setting of Skagway on your flight to Juneau. Upon arrival in Juneau, transfer to your hotel in Alaska’s capital city. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Overnight Juneau.
Day 11: Juneau We’ll take you to the airport and wish you a fond farewell.
