Seattle, WA, November 23, 2009 – Gray Line of Alaska has debuted its
2010 Alaska and the Yukon brochure and is now taking reservations for all 2010 tours – with a special offer of $500 off per couple when a six-day or longer tour is booked by Dec. 31, 2009.
“Gray Line’s special offer is a great incentive for folks to book their Alaska trip before the end of this year,” said Mark Mumm, director of sales and marketing. “We offer many six- to 11-day tours throughout Alaska and the Yukon ranging from
Denali packages to
escorted tours,
self-drive trips,
highway tours,
adventure tours and
pre/post-cruise connection packages.
“Gray Line has the ability to customize any itinerary to suit each traveler’s schedule and desired route,” Mumm emphasized. “We have the knowledge and infrastructure—day boats, trains, motor coaches—to create exactly the Alaska experience each guest or group desires.”
A leader in Alaska and Yukon tourism with more than 60 years experience, Gray Line of Alaska specializes in planning custom tours and
day trips as well as offering
pre-planned tours. In 2010 Gray Line is featuring a total of 29 customizable tours and many day trips ranging from Anchorage sightseeing to Arctic flightseeing.
Self-Drive Tours
Gray Line offers four pre-planned, self-drive tours, which include a rental car, a set itinerary, hotel reservations and select tours en route. Following a successful debut in 2009,
Homer by Car and
Valdez by Car with Rail are both featured again in 2010.
Homer by Car is a seven-day tour roundtrip from Anchorage with visits to Seward and Homer on the scenic Kenai Peninsula.
Valdez by Car with Rail is a nine-day tour roundtrip from Anchorage with stops in Valdez, Glennallen, Fairbanks and Denali National Park.
Alaska by Car is a seven-day tour roundtrip from Anchorage that highlights Denali, Talkeetna and Seward. The eight-day
Alaska by Car with Rail features a drive from Anchorage to Talkeetna and Fairbanks, then a scenic train ride to Denali and Anchorage.
Escorted Group Tours
Gray Line offers two itineraries ideal for those who prefer to explore Alaska with the camaraderie of a group and the convenience of a tour guide to handle logistics and provide information. Both are eight-day tours on which guests travel by a combination of luxury glass-domed rail car, boat and deluxe motor coach and stay at first-class wilderness lodges in many locations.
The
Escorted Alaska Explorer takes guests roundtrip from Anchorage to visit Talkeetna, Denali National Park—including the Tundra Wilderness Tour—Alyeska, and Cooper Landing on the Kenai Peninsula. The
Escorted Great Land Explorer departs from Fairbanks for Anchorage, visiting Denali, Talkeetna, and Cooper Landing en route.
Denali Tours
Gray Line features many tours to and within Denali National Park, one of Alaska’s most popular attractions because of the wildlife, wilderness scenery and majestic Mt. McKinley. The three-day
Denali Sampler is the most popular, providing overnight accommodations in Anchorage or Fairbanks before traveling via a deluxe motor coach or the luxurious McKinley Explorer train to Denali. An extra night in Denali may be added, and all transfers are included. Other
Denali tours range from six- and seven-day tours to day trips within the park. Guests can opt for a Denali self-drive adventure, hiking excursions, wildlife tour, fly fishing, flightseeing, glacier landing by helicopter and more.
Day Tours / Custom Group Tours
Besides Denali, Gray Line offers a wide range of day tours and adventures in many destinations: Anchorage, Alyeska, Seward, Talkeetna, Fairbanks, Skagway, and Juneau, Alaska; and in Whitehorse and Dawson City, Yukon Territory. Excursions include city tours, flightseeing, rafting, jeep tours, wildlife sightseeing tours, museums and hiking. These can be booked at Gray Line offices in Alaska and the Yukon as well as online at www.graylinealaska.com or with a travel agent.
Gray Line plans
custom tours for groups as well as individual travelers. A group may wish to add a trip to Denali
following their Alaska cruise or do an
extensive tour of interior Alaska and the Yukon. Gray Line can customize their trip with the addition of sightseeing tours, meals and beverages, parties, private shuttles and more. Itineraries can be tailored to fit group needs and preferences, including flexible departure times and routes.
