2008 Excursion - Chena Hot Springs & Ice Museum
Experience the “hottest” and “coolest” attractions in Alaska. Start with a 60-mile tour to Chena Hot Springs Resort. Along the way, learn about this recreational area and the history of the resort. At the resort, enjoy a fabulous buffet dinner. After dinner, put on your warm coat (one is provided if you need it) and tour the largest year-round ice environment in the world. Curl up in an Ice Polar Bear Bed, admire the detailed ice carvings, or pull up a stool at the Aurora Ice Bar and have a martini poured into your very own sculpted ice glass (extra charge for the drink). After the cold, warm up in the natural outdoor hot springs. Don’t forget your swimsuit. Other activities are available if you choose not to swim in the hot springs.
