2010 Excursion - Denali Highway Adventure - Interpretive Van Tour
The Denali Highway, still mostly unpaved, offers you an opportunity to view Mt. McKinley on a clear day and to experience the open tundra and taiga that is the essence of Alaska’s wilderness.  You will be met at the lodge and from there, the group will ride south to Cantwell to access the Denali Highway. Along the way your guide will interpret the geological significance of the Nenana River canyon and stop for photos of the surrounding area and wildlife. Once on the Denali Highway, frequent stops will be made to allow for interpretation and more photos of the area. Mt. McKinley is visible on clear days from this area and telephoto lens can capture spectacular shots.

Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, and be prepared for any weather.
