2008 Special Denali Tour - Anchorage to Fairbanks, Motor Coach/Rail

If you're short on time but still want to experience the stunning scenery of Denali National Park, this tour is for you. You'll enjoy the comfort of our luxury motorcoach as you travel from Anchorage, as well as the incomparable views from our McKinley Explorer glass-domed railcars as you travel to Fairbanks.
Day 1: Anchorage We'll pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your Anchorage hotel.
Day 2: Anchorage – Denali Journey between the mountains of the spectacular Alaska and Talkeetna ranges on an incomparable sightseeing experience aboard our luxury motor coach.
By afternoon you arrive in Denali National Park. Here, you can choose from a wide range of optional activities like river rafting, helicopter flightseeing, or horseback riding.
Day 3: Denali – Fairbanks Take time this morning to choose from one of many complimentary park-sponsored activities or optional Denali tours including guided hikes plus white-water rafting, fixed-wing flightseeing and horseback riding.
Later, board the McKinley Explorer railcars and travel deeper into Alaska's lovely interior. This portion of the route includes many scenic highlights including the town of Nenana, where the Nenana Ice Classic competitors attempt to predict the date of ice breakup on the river; and the Mears Memorial Bridge which is one of the largest single span railroad bridges in the United States.
If you choose, there's time for dinner in the elegant dining room before arriving in Fairbanks. Here, you'll be met at the depot and transferred to a downtown hotel.
Day 4: Fairbanks Today is a day at leisure until your flight home. Extend your stay if you choose with an optional trip to our historic Gold Dredge No. 8 or sail along the Chena and Tanana rivers on the Discovery Sternwheeler. We'll say goodbye with a transfer to the airport. This Tour Includes:
