Travel from the Golden Heart City of Fairbanks to the famed Denali National Park and Preserve before making the trip to the town of Talkeetna and the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. Explore this unique area by taking one of several optional activities like hiking or river rafting. End your time in Alaska by traveling via luxury rail to Alaska's largest city, Anchorage.

Upgrade your rail experience from Fairbanks to Denali for $100 per person. The standard tour features Alaska Railroad’s Adventure Class for this rail component of the tour. When you choose the upgrade, you will travel aboard Alaska Railroad's GoldStar service instead. Adventure Class railcars do not feature a dome and meals are available for purchase. GoldStar service is aboard Alaska Railroad’s domed railcars and breakfast aboard the train is included.
With the standard option, rail travel from Denali to Talkeetna and Talkeetna to Anchorage is aboard our own luxury, glass-domed rail service (meals not included, but available for purchase) and the upgrade applies only to the portion of the trip from Fairbanks to Denali.

Day 1: Fairbanks
We'll pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your Fairbanks hotel. Overnight in Alaska’s second largest city and enjoy its gold rush history and frontier flair. We offer many optional tours like Chena Hot Springs & Ice Museum or dinner and a show at the Alaska Salmon Bake. Overnight Fairbanks hotel.
Day 2: Fairbanks - Denali
Climb aboard the historic Alaska Railroad for your trip south to Denali National Park. By afternoon you'll arrive at Denali National Park where you’ll transfer to your comfortable accommodations. Visit the tour desk for information about optional activities to fill your day with. Overnight Denali-area hotel.
Day 3: Denali - Mt. McKinley
You'll continue your journey to Talkeetna aboard our luxury domed railcars. You’ll stay at the beautiful Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, featuring quite possibly the most awesome view of the "Great One" in the state. Once there, you’ll have time for optional activities such as hiking and river tours. Overnight Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge.
Day 4: Mt. McKinley – Anchorage
Enjoy a morning at leisure or spend your morning on an optional activity like a guided hike or jet boat safari. Later, re-board our glass domed railcars and begin the journey to Anchorage. Upon arrival in Anchorage, transfer to your hotel. Overnight Anchorage hotel.
Day 5: Anchorage
We will take you to the airport to finish out your Alaska vacation.
