Yellow Fairbanks / Denali / Talkeetna / Anchorage Rail Tour - 94J Itinerary

Begin your Alaska adventure in Fairbanks, known for its Gold Rush history. With a night at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, and a night at Denali National Park, there’s ample time to experience the abundant wildlife and to visit viewpoints for the "Great One." Complete your tour in Alaska's largest city, Anchorage, home to museums and cultural attractions.

• 1 night hotel accommodations near the Denali National Park entrance
• 1 night hotel accommodations at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge
• 1 night hotel accommodations in Anchorage
• Travel aboard Alaska Railroad's Adventure Class railcar (picture window) from Fairbanks to Denali (upgrade available)
• Travel on the Alaska Railroad route aboard a luxury, glass-domed railcar from Denali to Talkeetna and from Talkeetna to Anchorage
• Airport, hotel and rail transfers

Available during check-out:
Upgrade your rail experience from Fairbanks to Denali for $100 per person. The standard tour features Alaska Railroad’s Adventure Class for this rail component of the tour. When you choose the upgrade, you will travel aboard Alaska Railroad's GoldStar service instead.  Adventure Class railcars do not feature a dome and meals are available for purchase.  GoldStar service is aboard Alaska Railroad’s domed railcars and breakfast aboard the train is included.  

With the standard option, rail travel from Denali to Talkeetna and Talkeetna to Anchorage is aboard our own luxury, glass-domed rail service (meals not included, but available for purchase) and the upgrade applies only to the portion of the trip from Fairbanks to Denali.

Day 1: Fairbanks

We'll transfer you from the airpor to your hotel. Overnight Fairbanks hotel.

Day 2: Fairbanks - Denali

Climb aboard the historic Alaska Railroad for your trip south to Denali National Park. By mid-day you'll arrive at Denali National Park where you’ll transfer to your comfortable accommodations. Visit the tour desk for information about optional activities to fill your day with. Overnight Denali-area hotel.

Day 3: Denali - Talkeetna

You'll continue your journey to Talkeetna aboard our luxury domed railcars. You’ll stay at the beautiful Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, featuring quite possibly the most awesome view of the "Great One" in the state. Once there, you’ll have time for optional activities such as hiking and river tours. Overnight Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge.

Day 4: Talkeetna - Anchorage

Enjoy a morning at leisure taking in all that the lodge has to offer or choose another excursion. Later, return to Talkeetna where you'll reboard your railcar fo the scenic trip to Anchorage. Arrive early evening and transfer to your hotel with plenty of time to explore Alaska's largest city. Overnight Anchorage hotel.

Day 5: Anchorage

We will take you to the airport to finish out your Alaska vacation.
