Upgrade your rail experience from Denali to Fairbanks for $100 per person. The standard tour features Alaska Railroad’s Adventure Class for this rail component of the tour. When you choose the upgrade, you will travel aboard Alaska Railroad's Goldstar service instead. Adventure Class railcars do not feature a dome and meals are available for purchase. Goldstar service is aboard Alaska Railroad’s domed railcars and dinner aboard the train is included.
With the standard option, rail travel from Anchorage to Talkeetna and Talkeetna to Denali is aboard our own luxury, glass-domed rail service (meals not included, but available for purchase) and the upgrade option applies only to the portion of the trip from Denali to Fairbanks.

Day 1: Anchorage – Denali
The sights unfold before you as you journey between the mountains of the spectacular Talkeetna and Alaska mountain ranges aboard luxurious glass-domed railcar. Glide past small towns and flag stops and cross over the Hurricane Gulch trestle and other engineering marvels on your way to the famous Denali National Park and Preserve. Arrive in Denali National Park and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy an evening at leisure or check out one of our several optional excursions, like flightseeing or an ATV adventure. Overnight Denali-area hotel.
Day 2: Denali
The day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Visit the Gray Line Alaska tour desk where helpful staff will assist in planning your day. Purchase an optional excursion like river rafting, fly fishing or a guided jeep adventure to fill your day. This evening, experience Music of Denali Dinner Theater at McKinley Chalet Resort, included in your tour. Overnight Denali-area hotel. (D)
Day 3: Denali – Fairbanks
Journey into the park on an optional Natural History Tour or enjoy a morning at leisure. Later, re-board the train and travel deeper into interior Alaska. Enjoy dinner onboard the train before your journey ends upon arrival at the Fairbanks rail depot. (D)
